Hotel Den Briel House Rules and general obligations for the hotel guest.

The general House Rules of Hotel Den Briel, listed in this article and/or mentioned by one of the Hotel Den Briel employees must be followed at all times. Comments in this respect can be reported to the manager.

*Liability of the hotel guest/customer.

Hotel Den Briel is entitled at any time without notice to terminate the provision of services to a guest if the guest violates the house and/or behaviour rules, or behaves in such a way that the order and peace in the hotel and/or its normal operation is disturbed. The guest must then leave the hotel upon first request. If the guest fails to meet all his obligations towards the hotel in any other way, then the hotel is entitled to suspend the services. The hotel may only exercise these powers if the nature and seriousness of the breaches committed by the guest give sufficient cause, in the reasonable opinion of the hotel. After consultation with the competent local authorities, the hotel shall be entitled to dissolve the contract extrajudicially due to a well-founded fear of disturbing public order. If the hotel exercises this right, it shall not be liable to pay any compensation to the guest

*The customer and the guest and those accompanying them are jointly and severally liable for all damage that has and/or will arise for the hotel and/or any third party as a direct or indirect result of an attributable shortcoming and/or wrongful act, which includes violation of the house rules, committed by the customer and/or the guest and/or those accompanying them, as well as for all damage caused by any animal and/or any property of which they are the owners or which are under their supervision

*Verbal and/or physical violence towards fellow hotel guests or employees of Hotel Den Briel will not be tolerated.

*Possessing, using or trading narcotics and weapons in Hotel Den Briel is strictly prohibited.

*Hotel Den Briel cannot be held responsible or liable in case of loss, damage or theft of any property belonging to the hotel guest. Lost property will be kept for one month.

*It is prohibited to take property belonging to Hotel Den Briel outside the hotel. This is considered stealing and will be fined according to the value of the object.

*The owner, the management and all employees of Hotel Den Briel cannot be held liable for any injuries sustained or material or immaterial damage that visitors or hotel guests may suffer on or around Hotel Den Briel

*Legitimation Hotel guest:

During the stay at Hotel Den Briel, each guest must be able to present valid identification.

*In each travel party, at least one person must be at least 18 years of age.

*In- & Check-out times:

Hotel Den Briel's communicated check-in and check-out times must be respected unless otherwise approved by us in advance. Check-in can be from 03:00am & check-out until 11:00pm. For adjustments, please discuss with Hotel Den Briel reception in advance.

*More than the permitted number of people are not allowed to stay in the room. If it appears that more guests are staying than initially specified at reservation, we are forced to unilaterally cancel the room(s) without refunding the night(s) paid. If you wish to invite people, this can be done in the hotel lobby.

*Emergency exits may only be used in case of fire. In all other cases, it is forbidden to use or block the emergency exit

*Our bar is open until 10:30pm. We ask our hotel guests from 10:30pm to 07:00am to please respect the peace and quiet of the hotel.

*Buffet breakfast is offered from 07:00am to 10:00am in the restaurant on the ground floor.

*Pets are not allowed in the breakfast room, in accordance with HACCP standards. The exception applies to assistance dogs provided the reception is notified.

*A general ban on smoking applies throughout the hotel. It is therefore not allowed to smoke cigarettes, vapes, electronic cigarettes or shisha in the hotel. However, smoking is allowed on the rear terrace (between 7:00 and 22:00) or outside at the hotel entrance. Smoking inside the building or on the emergency stairs cannot be accepted and may result in a fine of €3,500, charged to your credit card.

*If payment other than cash is agreed, all invoices, for any amount, must be paid to the hotel by the customer within fourteen days of the invoice date. If an invoice is sent, the hotel is at all times entitled to charge a credit limitation surcharge of 2% of the invoice amount, which is cancelled if the customer pays the invoice within fourteen days.

*Cork and kitchen fees

The hotel may forbid the guest to bring his own food and/or drinks into the hotel, including the terrace. If the hotel allows guests to bring their own food and/or drinks, it may attach conditions to such permission, including charging corkage and kitchen charges.

If you violate our house rules and ignore a first warning, we are forced to ask you to leave the hotel immediately.
